Whisper Hotels are the operational group of Northern Powerhouse Development and provide a complete management and consultancy service to our growing portfolio of UK based hotels.
Headed by Richard Lewis, who was appointed CEO of Whisper Hotels in 2017, the group now employ over 250 staff who run the eight hotels currently in operation across the country.
With a focus on delivering heart-warming discoveries in amazing places, Whisper Hotels and their dedicated team of industry experts and highly skilled operators have had an immediate impact on the hotels they now run.
As well as creating memorable holiday experiences for a new generation of guest, they have helped turn around the fortunes of numerous hotels, provided new jobs for locals and helped inject new life into some of Britain’s best-loved holiday destinations.
Working alongside Richard Lewis is Chief Operating Officer Paul Rogers who brings years of experience to the group.
The vision of Whisper Hotels is to now continue their growth and become one of the UK’s best loved and respected hotel operators, delivering unique guest experiences in unique holiday locations.

KEY MEMBERS

Richard Lewis - CEO Hotels

Having spent a lifetime heading some of the world’s most successful hotel groups, Richard Lewis joined the company in June 2017. As the former CEO of Best Western Hotels GB and CEO of Landmark Hotels in Dubai, Richard brings nearly 40 years industry experience to the role and is regarded as one of the most respected operators within the international hotel and leisure sector.

Paul Rogers - COO Hotels

Paul joined the group in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer and brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. Most recently he worked with D&D Restaurants and previously worked with Hallmark Hotels, Park Plaza, Crowne Plaza, Thistle Hotels, DeVere and Stakis. Paul has held a number of GM and Regional Roles and his passion is for driving top-line revenues and reducing costs, without negatively impacting guest service or the guest experience.

Amy Wilson - Financial Controller

Amy is the Financial Controller for NPD’s hotel operational group and is responsible for the management of finances across the entire hotel portfolio. Having completed a degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Huddersfield she went on to gain her professional CIMA qualification and has since spent the past 10 years working within the tourism and leisure sector.
